Unemployment Update (Unemployment Extension & Unemployment Benefit) 9-14-20: States Run Out $300 LWA

0 Просмотры
Hey everyone, Andrew Cartwright here with your unemployment update for Monday, September 14th, 2020.

One of the stranger caveats of President Trump’s LWA weekly unemployment benefits was the $100 threshold that claimants must be making in state UI or PUA funds.

Fortunately, some states are looking out for their residents and have found some workarounds to ensure their citizens can obtain these vital unemployment benefits.

Rhode Island, which typically has a minimum state unemployment benefit of $53 weekly, will pony up the extra funds needed to reach $100 in state funds for the six weeks of the LWA unemployment program.

This extra financial assistance will allow roughly 3,500 citizens to receive the weekly $300 from the Feds.

Idaho is doing things a little differently. Instead of pitching in the extra like Rhode Island, they will be paying these ineligible claimants six weekly payments of $300 out of their $15 million disaster relief funds.

West Virginia, which is offering eligible unemployment claimants $400 weekly LWA benefits, will not be paying those making less than $100 weekly in state funds either $400 or $300.

They will be providing these claimants with the extra $100 that they are providing to all eligible LWA claimants, and is the only state that is paying the extra $100 to all citizens collecting unemployment benefits.

While these weekly LWA benefits have already been or will soon be disbursed in your state, I hope that Congress or the White House can provide more extended unemployment benefits for struggling Americans for at least the rest of 2020.

Meanwhile, if you are currently on the job hunt, Amazon recently unveiled their plan to hire a whopping 100,000 employees across America and Canada.

Looking to staff their 100 new warehouses across North America, these jobs at the largest online company in the world will help thousands of people find employment before the holiday season kicks into gear.

If you or someone you know is in need of employment, the massive retail conglomerate is hiring and could help you work your way through the rest of 2020.

Finally, 7 states have reached the end of their LWA $300 or $400 unemployment benefits, as they have paid out 6 weeks worth of payments.

Those states include: Arizona, Iowa, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Tennessee, and Texas.

I’m sorry that the ride is over for y’all, but at least you got some extra money in extended enhanced unemployment benefits to bridge the gap between stimulus packages.

I’m hearing that people living in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Utah are currently receiving these Federal unemployment benefits.

With everyone but South Dakota approved for these weekly extended enhanced unemployment funds, I just hope that all eligible claimants across America can get their six weeks of $1,800 or $2,400 soon.

If you still have not applied for unemployment benefits in your state, start the week off right and apply for these funds today.

With state benefits running out, these vital unemployment benefits won’t be available for long.

To all the gig-workers, self employed, independent contractors or 1099 workers, these are unemployment benefits that you can apply for, under the PUA.
